Covid19 Message
COVID19/Omicron Update as of 01/18/22
At RenewMD, we are deeply committed to the health and safety of our clients, employees, and our community. We strive to create a comfortable environment where you feel confident and safe. Below is the current protocol we are maintaining for our patients and staff during the current surge of the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
EMPLOYEE HEALTH & SAFETY
Staff members are required to wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times: a thick and effective clinical-grade face mask and/or face shield and gloves. All RenewMD staff are diligent about hand washing and hand sanitizing.
EXTENDED SANITIZING & CLEANING
We are increasing our medical-grade sanitizing and cleaning protocols that we regularly have in place and have added additional measures to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety.
PROTECTION OF CLIENTS & STAFF
Everyone inside our RenewMD medical spas are required to wear a face covering before entering. If you do not have a face covering upon entering, we will provide you with a disposable mask, if needed. We always have hand sanitizer and medical disinfectants on hand.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
We keep a safe physical distance between staff and clients as best as we can. All RenewMD medical providers use medical-grade PPE during treatments and services where physical distance can not be maintained based on the types of services we provide at RenewMD. We will continue to minimize and regulate the number of people within our medical spas at all times by staggering appointments.
APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULING
If you are experiencing even minor flu-like symptoms prior to your scheduled appointment, please call one of our RenewMD locations (Fremont, Folsom, Stockton) to reschedule your appointment. You will not be charged to reschedule. Same protocol goes for any RenewMD employee.
SUPPLY CHAIN DELAYS
Due to global supply chain and manufacturing delays, RenewMD has, unfortunately, had to reschedule some appointments because of shipping delays for certain products. If this is the case, we will have to reschedule your appointment. We always ensure that our patients are able to readily secure an appointment once their service/treatment product has arrived.
Please call your closest RenewMD if you have any questions or concerns.
RenewMD Fremont: 510-744-1582
RenewMD Folsom: 916-245-3043

- Waiving 24-hour cancellation fee for rescheduled appointments.

Common Skin Conditions for People of Color
The beauty industry is a flawed system, especially considering its exclusion of people of color with melanated skin. While beauty buyers can do their best to support brands that cultivate change, it is not the easiest feat to make waves at the consumer level. So, as we wait for the industry to make positive steps toward inclusivity, what can people of color do to meet their skin’s needs?
The Beauty Industry’s Exclusion of People Of Color
The global beauty industry is a flourishing market with no lack of funding, generating billions of dollars each year. Buyers of all ethnicities and backgrounds seek out products to treat their skin concerns. And yet, despite the industry's wealth and consumer demand, beauty brands have not always created products for people of color. So why do these individuals experience exclusion from this industry?
“People of Color” – The Science Behind Our Skin
"People of color" has made its way into our common vernacular, but what does the term really mean? Assigning attributes to particular groups comes with a long history of profiling. Unfortunately, the common practice of defining people of color as "non-white" is an oversimplification that promotes the harmful act of identifying people by lacking whiteness. In reality, people of color can be considered as possessing more - from a scientific standpoint.
Pregnancy And Your Skin
You may not realize this, but exfoliation is a process that takes place on and within your skin every day. As a part of your skin renewal cycle, your body is continuously shedding old skin cell layers from its outermost surface to make way for newer skin. As we age, and as we are exposed to different environmental factors, our skin needs an extra boost in exfoliation to continue making new, healthy, and radiant skin.

What is a Med Spa?
If you want a relaxing day with cucumber slices over your eyes, you visit a spa. If you want to identify a skin abnormality or concern on your body, you visit a dermatologist's office. But, on what occasion, you may visit a med spa. But, what is a medi spa? Well, to put it simply: A medical spa is a mix between a dermatologist’s office and a skin and body spa, with the difference being that a medical spa offers non-invasive, innovative laser treatments to treat and heal skin.
What Makes Skincare Medical-Grade
Medical-grade skincare has a reputation of being higher-quality than drugstore skincare products. However, their higher costs can leave people hesitant to make the purchase and curious about whether or not these products are really worth the price and all of the hype. So what is it about these product formulations that make them a better alternative to other skincare brands? What role does the FDA play in producing these solutions, and what does the term "medical-grade" even mean?
Contoured & Confident: Body-Prep for Your Next Event
Special events often involve dressing up, taking photos, and making memories with loved ones. These occasions sometimes make us feel overly conscious of how we look. It is all too normal to wish our clothing fit differently or that we had stayed more active to achieve a perfect body before a big event. Of course, there is no “perfect body,” and all bodies are beautiful. However, there are methods you can take to help you target your stubborn areas of fat and sculpt your figure so that you can feel contoured and confident on your big day.
