Most people experience very little discomfort and describe skin revitalization treatments as feeling like the snapping of a rubber band. Because tattoo removal treatments use more energy, patients may experience more discomfort, but your treatment provider should be able to offer numbing cream or other aids to minimize discomfort.

As the leading picosecond laser, PicoSure is able to treat all colors of tattoo ink on patients of all skin-types, so it’s very likely that PicoSure could work for you! There are some minimal risks. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis. Most women report temporary side effects, slight redness or swelling, some discomfort that usually disappears in one or two days.

PicoSure is designed with safety in mind and incidents of scarring are very rare. Tattoo removal treatments require more energy than skin revitalization and some patients may experience hypopigmentation (a lightening in skin color of the treated area) but this is usually temporary and normal skin is typically restored once healing is complete.

  • The number of PicoSure treatments for unwanted pigmentation will vary depending on the condition being treated and how each individual responds.
  • For tattoo removal, the size, location and density of ink play important roles in how quickly clearance can be achieved, but 4-10 treatments* is common for modern tattoos. Your treatment provider will be able to evaluate and provide you with a personalized plan.
  • The number of treatments for skin revitalization is largely dependent on the clinical condition being addressed but 2-5 treatments are common. Your treatment provider will be able to provide you with a personalized plan.

Procedure time depends on the size of the area to be treated, and 10 minutes is common for average sized tattoo and skin revitalization treatments.

Most women report slight localized discomfort following the laser treatment and during the first few days after the session. Many have reported to have resumed their normal routine after one to three days. During the healing period, it may be recommended to avoid lifting weights or some activities, such as taking a hot bath, or physical exercise. This system does exactly what it is supposed to… BRIGHTEN. I have dry skin that oftentimes looks dull. When I started using this system I noticed how important it is to hydrate the skin. At first I was a little skeptical about getting a full system because I have already been using Vitamin C in my routine and thought that this would not be doing anything different. But I was wrong- my skin does not burn when I use the vitamin c and I used to have an oily t – zone which has totally corrected since using the system. I am really loving this system! I have very sensitive skin (dermatitis and eczema-prone), but the Vita C does not burn or itch; it’s not runny like other watery vitamin c serums AND it doesn’t smell like copper. I love the skin polish as a mask, too. I leave it on as a mask while WFH and then exfoliate it off with warm water or a cloth. I added the retinol lipid complex for nighttime. So far my skin feels smooth and my dry patches that show some discoloration have evened out.
