Covid19 Message
COVID19/Omicron Update as of 01/18/22
At RenewMD, we are deeply committed to the health and safety of our clients, employees, and our community. We strive to create a comfortable environment where you feel confident and safe. Below is the current protocol we are maintaining for our patients and staff during the current surge of the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
EMPLOYEE HEALTH & SAFETY
Staff members are required to wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times: a thick and effective clinical-grade face mask and/or face shield and gloves. All RenewMD staff are diligent about hand washing and hand sanitizing.
EXTENDED SANITIZING & CLEANING
We are increasing our medical-grade sanitizing and cleaning protocols that we regularly have in place and have added additional measures to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety.
PROTECTION OF CLIENTS & STAFF
Everyone inside our RenewMD medical spas are required to wear a face covering before entering. If you do not have a face covering upon entering, we will provide you with a disposable mask, if needed. We always have hand sanitizer and medical disinfectants on hand.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
We keep a safe physical distance between staff and clients as best as we can. All RenewMD medical providers use medical-grade PPE during treatments and services where physical distance can not be maintained based on the types of services we provide at RenewMD. We will continue to minimize and regulate the number of people within our medical spas at all times by staggering appointments.
APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULING
If you are experiencing even minor flu-like symptoms prior to your scheduled appointment, please call one of our RenewMD locations (Fremont, Folsom, Stockton) to reschedule your appointment. You will not be charged to reschedule. Same protocol goes for any RenewMD employee.
SUPPLY CHAIN DELAYS
Due to global supply chain and manufacturing delays, RenewMD has, unfortunately, had to reschedule some appointments because of shipping delays for certain products. If this is the case, we will have to reschedule your appointment. We always ensure that our patients are able to readily secure an appointment once their service/treatment product has arrived.
Please call your closest RenewMD if you have any questions or concerns.

What Does Acupuncture Do to Your Face?
Few skin-care brands are as coveted as Sisley-Paris. The French skin-care retailer is the definition of luxe, winning the hearts of derms since the '50s for its je ne sai quois on the skin. It's effective alright, but it's not cost-effective—scour the Sisley-Paris website and you'll be hard-pressed to find a serum or toner for under $200. Le sigh. It's our lucky day, because Sisley-Paris Sisleÿa Radiance Anti-Aging Concentrate ($262) is on sale at Nordstrom right now, down from its original, hefty price tag of $525 to $262. This is your sign to run—no, sprint—to Nordstrom to nab a bottle before the sale ends February 27. Or before the product sells out, which is probably will.

3 Foods That Will Completely Dehydrate Your Skin, According To Doctors
If you’re experiencing super dry skin (like finding yourself packing on moisturizer and picking off flakes from your face) and you’re wondering what might be the cause— look no further. While many of us have naturally dry skin, (and skin that dries more as we age), one reason why our faces can feel so coarse is due to not hydrating enough! Water is crucial for every function your body has, and glowing, healthy and radiant skin is impossible without it.Another way to hydrate your skin this winter (apart from drinking ample amounts of water and moisturizing daily) is making sure that your diet is balanced and nutrient-rich.
If You’re New to Retinol, Which Concentration Should You Begin With?
It's important to start low and go slow, note our dermatologists. For beginners, most dermatologists recommend a retinol with a concentration of 0.25 percent to one percent to see results. If your skin is not sensitive, you can usually tolerate something right in the middle; Dr. Sethi starts her patients on a 0.5-percent concentration of retinol, which is suitable for most skin types, she says. Dr. Ciraldo cautions against starting with anything higher; a very concentrated dose is likely to cause side effects.
